Available in three versions, the TA48 allows anyone to connect Cat5e/Cat6 cables without the use of a crimper or punch down tool. The TA48 supports 1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet. Ideal for higher-bandwidth “Connected Home” applications.

The TA48 is available in three versions:
1. TA48-s has an RJ45 female socket within a terminating box containing a GF0080 for connecting 4-pair Cat5e/Cat6 without the use of professional crimp tools.
2. TA48-e has an RJ45 lead and plug connected to a terminating box containing a GF0080 for connecting 4-pair Cat5e/Cat6 without the use of professional crimp tools.
3. TA48-c is tool-less Cat5e cable coupler – especially useful for joining internal and external cable runs of 4-pair Cat5e/Cat6 without the use of professional crimp tools.
The TA48 is ideally suited to extending Ethernet home networks for a variety of Connected Home applications, such as:
• IPTV, media entertainment streaming/sharing;
• Home control, security & monitoring;
• Energy metering, monitoring and management;
• Future digital health solutions (e.g. tele/video consultations and health monitoring);
• PC communications, VOIP, video-phone.
